Our History

In 1973, a structural engineer in Oklahoma City named Ed Kirkpatrick had the idea to create a structural consulting company founded on the principles of treating clients like partners and getting projects done on-time, the right way, no matter the job. This company was the Kirkpatrick Engineering Company.

In 2001, Rick Forest and Larry Curtis joined Ed in his pursuit for engineering excellence and created Kirkpatrick Forest Curtis PC, also known as KFC Engineering. Since 2001, KFC Engineering has grown to become one of the largest structural consulting firms in Oklahoma, and in 2011, Ed’s son, Alan Kirkpatrick, became a Principal.

Celebrating 50 YEARS

In 2023, KFC Engineering celebrated 50 years in business, and with extra-added fanfare named four new Principals to the firm’s leadership: Curtis Greenwood, Jeff Sears, Brian Rayner & Kevin Bradley.
